PORTLAND MAGIC JAM 2010
SEPT 24, 25 & 26
Friday evening, all day Saturday, and Sunday 'till 6pm.

       Daryl
For more than 30 years, Daryl has been known as the "Magician's Magician" by his peers. This is because he represents the very best that the art has to offer. His magic is original and astonishing, and his presentations are hilariously entertaining.

He was voted one of the Top Ten most influential magicians of the 20th century
by the readers of Magic Magazine.  He has earned almost every major magic award there is, including the gold medal at F.I.S.M (magic's "Olympics"), and 6 academy awards from the Magic Castle in Hollywood (including Lecturer of the Year twice).  His success is absolutely second to none...

Most importantly, Daryl is one of the most prolific teachers of magic the world has ever seen.  He literally wrote the book on the Ambitious Card routine, and his Card Revelations DVDs alone contain more material than many others have produced in a lifetime!

       Whit Haydn
Whit's warmth, versatility, and humor have made him a favorite among his fellow magicians.  He is another of the Magic Castle's most highly awarded performers, having won Stage Magician of the Year, Parlor Magician of the Year, Close up Magician of the Year, and WC Fields Bar Magician of the Year.

He is the author of numerous books and DVDs on magic, and professionals from all over the world are performing Whit's original routines for stage and close up.  (He's in the select class of magicians who've created a linking ring routine so unique that it's named after him!)

As his alter ego "Pop" Haydn, Whit teaches a popular master's course at the Magic Castle called "School for Scoundrels", which of course contains updated versions of the classic street swindles "The Shell Game", "3 Card Monte" and "Fast and Loose".

      Wayne Houchin
Although already an accomplished performer and creator from a young age, Wayne made an enormous splash on the national scene in 2005 when he became a consultant for the Chris Angel TV show "Mindfreak".  Allowing Angel to use some of his own original effects, one of the biggest successes was his original impromptu signed quarter through soda can.  He subsequently (with Angel) released this on an instructional DVD, which was an instant hit, and was regarded as one of the best effects to be released that year. (Among his other groundbreaking creations are "Stigmata" and "Indecent".)

Oh, and not the least of his accomplishments is the fact that Wayne also co-founded the theory11.com website.

In his lecture, Wayne will perform and teach a selection of his favorite pieces of powerful magic, including unpublished material.  He'll also discuss character development, goal setting, and the art of success.  There will also be an exploration of "Why Magicians Fail".

        DOC EASON
For over 30 years Doc has been a fixture on the Aspen scene, where he was the featured entertainer at John Denver's world famous Tower Comedy Magic Bar.  His love of people and warm personal style endeared him to 3 generations of tourists and locals alike.  He has been named Close Up Magician of the Year by the Academy of Magical Arts two years in a row, as well as the first recipient of the WC Fields Magic Bartender of the Year.  In addition to these kudos, he is also the current Lecturer fo the Year!

It's more than magic - it's Doc! .
